Vast Entertainment Lands Best Selling Author Sandra Brown

Sandra Brown, author of 57 NY Times bestsellers, has sold the option on her 1996 legal thriller, The Witness. It’s the first time in her 27-year career that Brown, who has 70 million copies of her books in print, has made a movie deal.

Broken Road Prods.’ Todd Garner (Anger Management) and Vast Entertainment’s Lane Shefter Bishop will produce the feature film version. Brown has turned down several offers to adapt her books over the years. “Some excellent books have been made into excellent movies, but just as often the film renditions were bad,” she said. “For decades I’ve been developing a ‘voice’ my readers recognize and expect. Lane Bishop approached me with a full understanding and appreciation of that voice.”
